Accustomed to flaunting about at leading world Fashion Weeks in spring and fall, getting caught up in the fashion whirl in the height of summer is unusual for designers who are presenting their spring/summer 2019 collections in Copenhagen, as well as for fashion insiders, bloggers, photographers and the stylish ones of this world, trying to maintain their status quo and cope with temperature conditions.

After long periods of rain, Europe is slowly melting in the heat and humidity, overcoming record hot temperatures in the last 100 years, which also had an impact on the street-style looks of the event’s guests.

Multilayered silhouettes have been replaced by flimsy dresses, crop tops and shirts made of natural fabrics with fancy geometric and floral prints. Worthy of special attention are quilt and plaid outfits—a trend that the Danish capital seemingly intends to bring to the world street movement.
