For ten days, Cannes Film Festival turns the Côte d'Azur, picked by world stars enough as it is, into the bohemian Mecca. You may meet celebrities anywhere, including at the nearby table in a cozy restaurant. However, if you approach the "personal acquaintance" plan with all responsibility, it is better to choose the surefire locations in which guests Kendall Jenner, Heidi Klum, Adrien Brody and Bradley Cooper have already been spotted this year.
HÔTEL BARRIÈRE LE MAJESTIC
Loved by many not only for its proximity to the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès, but also through the presence of three restaurants with the impeccable menu and reputation of chef Pierre Gagnaire: Le Fouquet’s, La Petite Maison de Nicole and BFire, which is located right on the coast. Among the hotel’s regular guests are Catherine Deneuve, Marion Cotillard and Charlize Theron.
The most “stellar” nightclub in Cannes. Even outside the festival program, you may often meet Beyoncé and Jay-Z here, who enjoy splendid music (often self-authored) along with the excellent Asian cuisine and exquisite cocktails.
RESTAURANT LA PALME D’OR
Named after the film festival’s main award, the Palme d'Or, this restaurant with chef Christian Sinicropi — the owner of 2 Michelin Stars for the creation of haute cuisine dishes — has long attracted the attention of Scarlett Johansson and Eva Longoria.
LE GRAND HOTEL
Is no less popular. From the central premiere location and the Promenade de la Croisette it is separated by a shady garden, and from the terraces of most rooms there is a magnificent view of the sea.
FIVE SEAS HOTEL
Suffice to mention that Rihanna enjoys staying here, and in the morning may be seen on the terrace with the 13-meter (42.7-foot) swimming pool and at breakfast — in Le Roof restaurant, offering a breathtaking view of the historic area of the city.
