Ralph Lauren Spring 2019 Ready-to-Wear collection at New York Fashion Week

In time for the most important film- and music-award ceremonies—the Oscars and Grammy Awards,—American designer Ralph Lauren unveiled his new Spring 2019 Ready-to-Wear collection, bringing together friends and fans of his eponymous brand in a boutique on Madison Avenue, designed in the spirit of a Parisian candy store.

From the very first look (a snow-white admiral jacket and bell-bottomed floor-length pants) worn by the designer’s favorite muse Taylor Hill, it became clear that the collection claims to be the top red carpet style contender.

Overalls and dresses with the brand’s signature cleavage were supplemented with elaborate tuxedos and floaty outfits in large floral prints. And of course there was a shine, which manifested itself in the collection’s accessories and details, but also in individual looks flickering with an intermingling play of gold and copper.
