Milan Fashion Week: Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2019 Ready-to-Wear show

Following the latest fashion weeks, one can’t help thinking that designers have announced some kind of secret competition for the number of looks per collection. Thus, following Riccardo Tisci’s debut for Burberry, where he showed 134 looks, and Emporio Armani’s 170, the brilliant design duo Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana performed an ode to individuality in 153 works.

The Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2019 Ready-to-Wear show itself, considering the amount of star models, looked more like the Cannes Film Festival Opening Ceremony or the Oscars: Monica Bellucci in a black polka dot gown, Carla Bruni in a gold and silver suit, Isabella Rossellini with her daughter Elettra and her granddaughter, Helena Christensen, Eva Herzigova and Ashley Graham.

Traditionally, the designers packed the collection with dense embroidery seen on jackets and coats, the femininity of silhouettes, floral prints and lacy ruffles, as well as iconic black mini dresses.
