Burberry Fall 2019 RTW show at London Fashion Week

For his second collection at British fashion house Burberry, Riccardo Tisci used the word "Tempest," expressing a light nostalgia for the 90s, when he was a fashion student at Central Saint Martins, the art school in London, with lots of night club parties and crazy ideas, which he now blended with current “contrasts in British culture and weather,” as the designer himself put it.

The show opened with a series of looks for young men and women who want to express their attitude to what’s happening through stylistic choices like knitted mini-dresses with frills attached to chains, puffer coats with a floating British flag to look like wings, lace edge slipdresses and luminescent overalls, reminiscent of rave parties.

The second part of the event revolved around traditional beige, checks, slim waisted cocktail dresses, perfectly tailored coats and gorgeous purely English suits imbued with aristocratic elegance.
